We’ll be exploring the art elements and I’ll introduce your kids to two famous artists FAMOUS for self portraits. Templates will be provided as print-outs to show your artists further examples of facial features and face shapes. Newsletter recipients will receive a coupon code good for the first week. I have to tell you: these are the “go-to” studio supplies for any learning artist. The supplies on this list will last for a good long while. They will be relevant and needed for any future online workshops you choose, and you guys will USE them - they’re fantastic!
Items you’ll need:
pencil/eraser
black sharpie marker
ruler
scissors
a printer
paints -EITHER tempera cake paints (my favorite for vivid color) OR watercolors. A brown and a peach paint is needed - just be sure you have those two for sure! I do not suggest acrylic paints.
paintbrushes
crayons or markers
great (thick) paper: both 9x12 for self portraits & 12x18 for family portraits (all your family members have to fit on the page!)
